Joel Munyao started his career as a Tax trainee and has risen over the years to Tax Compliance Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from KCA University, Diploma in Business Management from KCA University and CPA Part II with The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
Joel has a career of eleven (6) years in Tax and accounting. I have progressively developed the ability in preparing tax reports for all clients and tax compliance certificates, Bookkeeping, Reconciliation of Bank statements with daily bank credits and debits.
Preparation of year-end accounting and taxation reports to ensure the company complies with legal and business requirements. Produce an operating profit and loss account and balance sheet to Reflect accurate and timely financial information which meets regulatory and business requirements.
Key areas of experience include:
- Execute and/or oversee audit planning, field work and audit reporting, prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to those charged with governance.
- Assisting in resolving tax matters between the clients and the relevant authorities.
- Advising clients on tax issues such as withholding tax, advance tax and instalment tax.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professional conduct.
- Comply with auditing and accounting standards, relevant laws and regulations, ethical standards, independence requirements and quality control procedures.
- Manage assigned portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance services.
- Assess, enhance and communicate clients’ internal controls and risk management processes.
- Filing statutory deductions on stipulated dates including Withholding tax and VAT.
- Conducting monthly bookkeeping for clients and providing reports.
